We all know how important it is to take care of ourselves… we try to eat right, exercise, and reduce stress as much as possible (massages, anyone?).

But do you remember to include rest breaks in your day?

I know you’re reading this and thinking, “Yeah, right, Jana! Like there’s any way I have time to rest! Have you seen my calendar lately?”

Okay, okay… so you may not have time to take a lengthy afternoon nap – or even a 20-minute power nap. However, you can still recharge your batteries with this super-easy, super-efficient method.

Are you ready for it?

This is going to blow your mind… it definitely blew mine!

Before you start anything in your day (or at least once an hour), close your eyes, take several deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. Focus on reconnecting with your power source, your inner being, your soul… whatever you want to call it. Really feel that surge of energy start coursing through your body.

And then open your eyes and get back to your day.

That’s it!

Yes, really.

At first, it may seem like nothing much is happening, but stick with it. Over (a very short amount of) time, you’ll start to notice that before you’ve even started with the deep breaths, you’re already getting the juices flowing.

You see, the thing is that your true power comes from within and it’s waiting there for you to tap into it. When you take a few moments throughout the day to return to that part of yourself, you will be rewarded with seemingly boundless energy.
