I kept trying to come up with a fun April Fool’s Day prank to pull, but that kind of thing isn’t exactly in my wheelhouse…

So, instead, I’ll share something with you that is in my wheelhouse: how horses can help us fall in love… with a partner, with ourselves, with our lives.

Like with many things that are super important to us, we often push away love without even being conscious of what we’re doing. You may think you’re doing everything you need to do to find that special someone, but what’s really happening is that you’re pushing them (and the experiences you desire) away – energetically speaking.

Here, I’ll explain.

So, let’s say you’ve been dreaming of, visualizing, imagining, searching for your soul mate. And then you’re out with friends one night and spot him from across the room. You’re instantly attracted, so you finally get up the nerve to go over and introduce yourself. The closer you get to him, the more enthralled you become.

Fast forward a few months…

You and McDreamy have been dating casually, but you are absolutely head over heels for him. Over candle-lit dinner one night, you blurt out that you love him and want to have, like, a million of his babies.

His reaction: anywhere from decidedly luke-warm to blind panic.

Over the course of the next few weeks, you hear from Future Hubs less and less frequently, so you of course call/text/stop by his place more and more frequently. After all, he’s really busy and he’s not much of a communicator anyway.

Then, you’re out for ladies’ night and see him – gasp! – canoodling with another woman in a cozy corner booth.

What went wrong? What does this mean for you and your prospects?

It doesn’t mean that you will never find Mr. Right, nor does it mean you’re a lost cause. What it does mean is that your energy was SO forward that you never really gave him the opportunity to connect with you in a meaningful and healthy way.

And this is where horses play a starring role in teaching how to engage in a healthy way with your potential Soul Mate. When you go into a session with Jove, carrying that type of – dare I say it? – desperation to find The One, he will very likely want to be as far away from you as possible. And not because he doesn’t like you, but because that type of emotional setting feels really scary for horses. They are prey animals, after all, and have no drive to be polite (like people do). So, his honest natural reaction will be to get to a “safer” place.

I’ve seen this happen time and time again, where someone thinks they’re doing everything they can to connect with Jove, but they’re actually pushing him away. As soon as they take that intense focus off of him and learn to rock their energy back and breathe, Jove will naturally be drawn to them. That energy welcomes in connection, instead of pushing it away.

And this is just one example of the type of thing these personal growth sessions with horses can help you learn. The possibilities are truly endless.

This whole process is challenging to describe in words, so I want to make the experience available to as many people as possible. Because I know how transformative it is (having gone through it myself, sometimes on a daily basis).

If you’re an Asheville resident, I’ve created a way for you to experience this powerful process for yourself. To learn more, head over here.
